How long weekends are calculated
A long weekend forms whenever a public holiday falls on a Friday or a Monday, giving a 3-day weekend. It runs longer when holidays stack — Good Friday plus Easter Monday gives four days — and only statutory days off count, never days that are merely customary. All of these need no annual leave.
