Add European Public Holidays to Your Calendar
Pick your country below and add its public holidays to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook in about thirty seconds. It is free, needs no account, and installs nothing. Because it is a subscription rather than a downloaded file, your calendar keeps itself up to date โ 2027's dates arrive on their own, and so does any correction we make.
Every date comes from official government sources. Holidays that only apply in certain regions are labelled regional rather than presented as a nationwide day off, and nothing is marked as busy time, so a subscription never blocks your availability.
Choose your country
On a phone, use Copy link โ then follow the Google Calendar steps below.
How to add it
This has to be done in a web browser, not the phone app โ the Google Calendar app has no option to add a calendar by link. Copy your country's link above, open calendar.google.com, then go to Other calendars โ From URL and paste it. It syncs down to your phone automatically within a few minutes.
Tap Apple / Outlook next to your country and confirm when your calendar asks. That is the whole process.
Use the Apple / Outlook button, or copy the link and go to Add calendar โ Subscribe from web and paste it.
Questions
Is this free?
Yes, completely free with no account, no sign-up and no app to install. You add one link to your calendar and that is the whole process.
Does it update by itself?
Yes. A subscription is a live link rather than a one-time file, so your calendar re-checks it automatically. Next year's public holidays appear on their own without you doing anything, and any correction we make reaches you the same way.
Why can't I add it from the Google Calendar app on my phone?
The Google Calendar mobile app has no option to add a calendar by link โ that is a limitation of the app itself, not of this calendar. Add it once at calendar.google.com in a web browser and it will sync down to your phone automatically within a few minutes.
Will regional holidays show up as days off I don't actually get?
No. Holidays that only apply in some regions are labelled "regional" in the event title, and every event is marked as free time rather than busy, so nothing blocks your availability. Open the event to see which regions observe it.
How do I remove it later?
Unsubscribe the same way you would any other calendar โ delete it from your calendar list. Nothing is stored on our side and we have no record of who has subscribed.
Prefer a one-off download?
Every country page has a .ics download for a single year if you would rather not subscribe โ see all 25 country calendars, or plan time off with the Leave Optimizer.
